SISCOMEX: from paperwork to computerized system
Launched in 1993, following an initiative by the Federal Government, the Integrated Foreign Trade System (SISCOMEX) is a registration tool used exclusively for import and export operations, an automated platform that revolutionized the market.

Previously, the entire process was done manually, from preparing the paperwork to compiling and typing the data.
“We used to go to the bank to buy the export guide booklet, a document that came with several copies. We separated the pages, added carbon sheets, typed the documents and returned to the bank to file the process. After two or three days, we would return to the bank to see if the document had been analyzed”, recalls Carlos De Simone, Operations Director ar Sertrading.
The implementation of SISCOMEX, with the automation of government controls, became the main catalyst for the advancement and transformation of the Brazilian Foreign Trade scenario, resulting in a reduction in bureaucracy and improved competitiveness in the international market.

The consolidation of data sources, combined with precise detailing and agility in the dissemination of operation information, essential for decision making, in addition to reducing deadlines and costs for users, optimizes procedures with technological intelligence and efficiency.
“SISCOMEX made the day-to-day lives of companies easier. It’s technology working in our favor.”
Carlos De Simone
Currently, innovation and technological advances play a fundamental role in maintaining the Brazilian State at the forefront, boosting Foreign Trade and ensuring a competitive and updated presence.
